More Custom XSite Pro Templates

Nicky Jameson, copywriter, wanted a
template that said "I deliver results." We gave her that
with a professional design and a "targeted" header. The
rounded corners limit the background colour to white, but
with such a strong design, a plain white background is
just fine.

The above template was designed for an online directory requiring a serious,
but not somber look. Notice the navigation. I chose not to
use XSite Pro's default bold text and I also added a
square dot in front of the links for a "directory" look.
Also, like the previous template, this is an example of
using a black-and-white border and a dark grey
background to make the page stand out. I have included a
little of the grey background here to show you the
effect.

The above template is actually a 100% fluid design. When
viewed online, you will see that the
background to the header extends across the full browser
window.

The above template incorporates Google AdSense (notice the
eye-catching strip of images above the AdSense) and a mailing
list opt-in box.

The above is a simple, sales-letter-type template with top
navigation. (Yes, we can do top navigation in XSite Pro, but it
has to be maintained manually.) The soft blue is restful and
yet gives a solid feeling of trustworthiness

The above template uses a high-impact style suitable for the
male market. Using blue as the predominant colour ensures that
the site appears trustworthy. The graphics are crisp and clean
and integrate well into the design.

The above template shows how professional an affililate Web
site can look with a super header and professional design.
There are three stock photos in the header that cost about
$1.00 each! I replaced the text in the sign on the far left
image with "Online Guide to Forex Trading." This kind of thing
can be done if you have even a simple graphics program. The two
images on the left are faded into one another, a nice effect as
long as you don't overdo it. Overdoing effects is the sign of
an amateur Web designer! Keep your header crisp and clean!

The above template was created for the main pages of
www.theDepot.ca. A second template was
created for the ad listings pages, as they had to be
uploaded to a different directory and required a slightly
different design (no right panel). The listings manager
(real estate, vehicles and classified ads) is by www.InteractiveTools.com. While the
template design is fairly straightforward, this site
required some imaginative thinking to get the listings
manager and two separate XSite Pro templates working
together. It was a proud moment when we launched this
site!

The above template was built to showcase Kiernan Station, a light
industrial complex in Salida, CA. To achieve this look,
we removed the Right Panel, added a table to hold the
photos, and used the Page Footer to create the brown bar at
the bottom. We used CSS to add thin, black lines to the Left
Panel and Page Footer. These methods help to reduce the
Xsite Pro look of this Web site.

The above template shows how you can "suggest" the theme of
your site rather than "showing" it. We could have chosen photos
of happy, energetic women, but the photo of the red purse and
computer mouse says it all: there's money to be made marketing
to women online. As a result our template is very clean,
professional and classy! The orange/red colour theme adds the
energy level behind her business that the client wanted to
convey. Picking up the dark red in the navigation links and
headlines unifies the design. You can see that we decided not
to colour the right or left panels. That's one way to avoid
having your site look like every other XSite Pro Web Site out
there. Also notice that we changed the link colour of the
bottom navigation menu to the standard blue. This encourages
clicking and again hides some of XSite Pro's visual
footprint.

The above template was created to capture leads for a
plumbing company in Portland, Oregon. It
uses a 100% fluid width design. We worked closely with the
client to achieve the friendly, professional look they
wanted for this site.

The above template shows that an innovative design is quite
possible using XSite Pro. It's hard to see it in the screen
shot here, but the header actually resembles a Sedu Hair Straightener.

The above template was created for a site selling high
quality t-shirts decorated with silk screened Kanji
ideograms. We added several pages of content to get the owner
started. He had zero HTML knowledge, but was able to
successfully pick up where we left off with some minor support
from us... the power of XSite Pro!
Keep going to page 3... there's still more
to see!
